We are proud to launch the 4th version of the Éditions Le Fennec website 💪🏻
The first version of the site went online in 2006, 18 years ago. Supported by Layla Chaouni, an avant-garde icon in the Moroccan cultural scene, Éditions Le Fennec renewed their confidence in us, entrusting us with a new transformation of their websites. The site is an international online store featuring over 280 Moroccan books.
Who are Éditions Le Fennec?
Le Fennec is a Moroccan publishing house that has been publishing in French and Arabic since 1987. The publishing house has a noble mission: to disseminate Moroccan literature to as many people as possible, by offering quality books that are still accessible. Most of its books are sold for 30 DH!
Initially, Le Fennec’s publications focused on essays and studies, tackling themes such as women’s and men’s rights, laws and Islam. They remain very much involved in society’s problems. At the same time, the publishing house has published works by established novelists as well as first novels, covering a variety of genres such as autofiction, historical fiction and thrillers.
Its best-known authors include Fatéma Mernissi, Mahi Binebine, Driss Ksikess, Aïcha Chenna, Réda Dalil, Jamal Belakhdar and Leila Slimani.
Objectives
The objectives for the new version of LeFennec.com were many and varied. We worked closely with Les Éditions Le Fennec to understand their specific needs and to develop a strategy that would help them achieve their goals. Here are the main objectives we identified and worked on:

Performance and safety
To improve site speed and security, we’ve taken major steps to optimize performance and threat protection. We migrated the site to a higher-performance server and configured caching and CDN solutions for improved performance. In addition, we strengthened site security following a hacking incident.
